‎”[…] is there a religious or spiritual tradition that doesn’t treasure silence? Are there practices that see the divine in chitchat (I think things like speaking in tongues don’t count– while it can’t be understood, it’s a sign of holy presence), or distraction as a form of divine possession? I think not.)” From here.

I’ll leave this lovely quote mostly unadorned by commentary, except to say, I would like some quiet in my life. Though my house has been empty of my friends as they make their marks on the left coast, constant studying and planning leaves little time for peaceful reflexion.

As long as its not this kind of silence:

Inspirational Quote:

“Not merely an absence of noise, Real Silence begins when a reasonable being withdraws from the noise in order to find peace and order in his inner sanctuary.”–Peter Minard
