Working for Polaris, writing for them and working to end modern day slavery was my dream job and I am starting this Wednesday. I did a fellowship with them two summers ago and have kept in shy contact every since and love the organization and the work. And did I mention I’m getting paid to write every day?
I’m feeling a strange mix of emotions. About the job, I feel this:

But mostly, I’m deeply humbled and fiercely excited to get my work on.

Jessica, I am truly excited for you, and I know you’ll do an awesome job! I look forward to seeing how much you’ll learn and grow while helping others in this position. But, meanwhile… I will miss you as a Berktern!
