Going to Alex Tomorrow (And Some Photos)

I’m heading to Alex(andria) tomorrow. I have so many words and photos and videos to describe the things I saw today and yesterday, but my train leaves at 8:15am and I need to go to sleep. I may catch up on the train, or during my lay-over in Istanbul. More later, some photos now:
Man fishing in the Nile.
Woman carrying her groceries in an Obama bag on her head in Zamalek

Does anyone else think that these:
Dorms at New Cairo Campus of American University of Cairo
Look nearly identical to this?
Inside of Carnegie Mellon University's Qatar Campus
That’s because Carnegie Mellon Qatar and the American University of Cairo hired the same, Mexico-based and pueblo-inspired, architecture firm. He apparently uses that same shade of red a lot.

Inspirational Quote:

“What you’ve done becomes the judge of what you’re going to do – especially in other people’s minds. When you’re traveling, you are what you are right there and then. People don’t have your past to hold against you. No yesterdays on the road.”–William Least Heat Moon, Blue Highways
