#EndSexTraffickinginPGH Gets Great Press Coverage

Today I spoke at a press conference on the ordinance Councilman Shields is introducing to the Pittsburgh City Council tomorrow.

Even before the press conference, we received some wonderful coverage. Both of Pittsburgh’s majors papers have run stories (the Tribune-Review and the Post-Gazette). The Post-Gazette story was on their front page, above the fold. Here is an article from the AP.

Here is a 50 second video of the press conference. The photos of massage parlors are by Van Dittavong, a fellow former fellow with the Polaris Project (I asked for and received permission to use them to lobby).

Before the press conference, the story also got picked up by the Dusquene student station DUQ and a major city radio and TV station, KDKA.

I’m expecting more coverage tomorrow and I’ll post about it as well.

I’m a little overwhelmed, and I’m getting some nasty emails, but overall I am excited about the level and quality of coverage we’ve been receiving. More soon.

UPDATE: Here’s more coverage from our CBS affiliate, KDKA. The second video down, you can see me talking!
