Combating street harassment is about women having access to the same spaces men have access to. Because if we don’t, then our society really is what Elize thinks it might be: a place where men are people, and women are women. Where the sidewalk, the bus, the trains are designed to make men comfortable and women afraid.
Not all spaces. Not all women. Not all men. But too many.
