The $33 Suit.

A certain dearly beloved of mine had a job interview today with a local start-up. Unfortunately, his interview suit is in California. That’s why, between our Saturday morning rock climb and my afternoon haircut, we went to our local Goodwill.

I remember shopping at Goodwill after Shakespeare Club dinners when I was little, and finding it superior to Toys’R’Us in that:

  1. I could get way more toys at Goodwill than Toys’R’Us,
  2. None of them were locked way in sharp packaging, so I could see what I wanted.
Goodwill’s charms have aged well. I’ve bought interview suits, favorite boots, and halloween costumes at Goodwills around the country. Here’s what Matt got this weekend:
  • Suit jacket,
  • Long-sleeved, button-up shirt,
  • Dress slacks,
  • Dress belt,
  • Dress shoes.
All for $33 and change. Though the boy could make anything look good, I think the outfit did him justice:

The $33 Suit.
