New World In My View

There are some photos which only exist because I have an iPhone. Photos of things too small to remember to come back to with my camera, not striking enough to warrant an entire blog post, but unique parts of my daily walks to school and work and volunteering. It being the end of the semester, I’ve been looking back at those casual photos, and though some are shocking and others profound, here is some beautiful normality from my days:
Like bulbs, I rise.

A bridge over troubled waters

Sharing my lunch with a little thief.

Inspirational Quote:

Walk away quietly in any direction and taste the freedom of the mountaineer. Camp out among the grasses and gentians of glacial meadows, in craggy garden nooks full of nature’s darlings. Climb the mountains and get their good tidings, Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. As age comes on, one source of enjoyment after another is closed, but nature’s sources never fail.

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.” — John Muir, My First Summer in the Sierra , 1911
