I’m not sure I entirely get tumblr. But a friend recently pointed me to two which showed me just how cool this medium could get. It’s like Twitter with more seamless integration of media; like blogging at haiku length.
One tumblr is for a CMU class called “Body Politics.” It’s like getting to sit in on the most exciting parts of a class, or sharing it over friends.
The other tumblr is the most convincing attack on the fashion industry I’ve seen. The author pulls one forcibly-passive, skeletal, degrading approach to beauty after another from high fashion magazines.
