Opportunity for GLBTQ Folks to Help Closeted Teens

Dan Savage, sex-positive activist and sex advice columnist, has launched a YouTube channel for LGBTQ people to contribute stories about their lives, to show closeted teens that “It Gets Better.” Here’s the one he and his (famously camera-shy) husband made:

All you need to do is upload your video and email mail (at) savagelove.net with the link to be added to the project’s favorites.

Dan started the project because of the story of Billy Lucas, yet another gay high school student bullied and ostracized, who committed suicide earlier this month. The bullying continued on his memorial Facebook page.

If you are GLBTQ, please consider contributing and passing this on. It could be a great use of social media for social good.
