I totally remember writing letters to Socks. I don’t know if I actually did, but I firmly remember writing some of my first political letters (in elementary school), to Socks, the Clintons’ cat. The First Feline. I was around 8, and truly enjoyed receiving a picture of Socks in response to my 8-year old questions to the President. I had a surprisingly emotional response when I read this headline on TopOfTheTicket that Socks died.
Here is a cute picture for which he is famous (caption from PunditKitchen).
RIP Socks. You helped me write my first political letters. Enjoy the big Tuna-bowl in the sky.

Love you, Socks. Did you ever read that Beverly Cleary book Socks? Also about a cat. Extremely Legit.
