  • Educated online community about human trafficking in the United States, striving to tell the more complex stories rather than boil a troubling issue to its simplest bones,
  • In first year, orchestrated a near 100% increase in Facebook and Twitter followers, a 33% increase in mailing list membership, and an entire suite of infographics,
  • Designed and successfully implemented 2 national petition campaigns, bringing in a combined 16,000 signatures and helping community members understand the impact sex trafficking has on young victims,
  • Managed two fellows, providing both training in technical systems and communications strategy,
  • Designed 4 fundraising campaigns bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars to help organization provide urgently needed services to survivors of human trafficking,

  • Administered Career Center front office, successfully managing schedules of 20+ staff members, with 25+ employer and student interactions per hour.
  • Managed class of 10+ students in popular “How to Get a Job” student-taught course, empowering them in a difficult economy by teaching job-search basics.
  • Organized international mentoring program for humanities students, running application and matching process, presenting trainings, and running weekly committee meetings for 18+ months.

  • Designed and implemented website with strong fundraising asks for San Jose, CA’s Santa Maria Urban Mission, a small non-profit dedicated to keeping inner-city youth out of gangs.

Polaris Project is the leading anti-human trafficking organizations in the United States, combatting all forms of trafficking. Summer 2010 fellows represent 5% of the applicant pool, and received 50+ hours of legal, and issue training.

  • Wrote 19 blog posts representing Public Outreach and Communications Project for Polaris blog, effectively managing both Joomla and WordPress content management systems.
  • Coordinated 3-day Tweet-A-Thon, touching 100,000 Twitter users (50 times our follower-count) with 500+ tweets with broadcasted links generating 1200+ clicks.

  • Wrote 85 blog posts over a 9-month period, documenting best technical practices for recording public domain, generating original literary analysis and communicating with community.
  • Recorded and licensed under Creative Commons videos of commonly assigned literature for YouTube to help students who find reading difficult; videos have been viewed 77,000+ times.
