Something to make you happy; something to make you mad.

I’ve been feeling pretty grouchy about women’s rights today, culminating in finding this quoted in a lovely religious progressive group blog:

“Who,” [Atlanta Lutheran-Missouri Synod pastor Joshua] Genig asked, “is speaking up for the mothers who, under HHS mandate, have been falsely coerced into feeling that to be a woman means to have ‘control’ of their own bodies?”

GAH. As I said on Facebook: posted without comment, but with a shudder.
While I found lots of articles to feel hopeful about–a charming profile of Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, an excoriation of the Ryan Budget by means of Catholic social justice principals, a funny post analyzing Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus’s comparison of women to caterpillars–but I was still in a funk. Then I remembered that I have the Internet to cheer me up, and I found this (which I posted Ye All Those Years Ago):

Ah, that’s better.

Inspirational Quote:

“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.”― Neil Gaiman, The Sandman, Vol. 5: A Game of You
