Dastardly Arizona Law–Brought to You in Part by Private Prisons

It a way, reading this excellent article from NPR was comforting. Knowing the level of rank racism in the Arizona immigration law stemmed from greed and not ideology reassures me. If the 37 sponsors of the Arizona state bill were motivated by cash from private prisons, and that’s a big and difficult to prove “if”, then all we have is a case of corruption, rather than root-rot-deep racism.

By the way, I thought anti-choice protesters lacked taste. Watch this group of adults try and shout down latino and latina children:
