With only the the normal low level of costume-and-cue snafus, my lovely production of Oliver! is complete. Even though it took over my life in the last 2 weeks, and the scheduling never seemed to work out, I am very glad to have been a part of the Qatar Foundation musical. More than just an opportunity to sing, as a Study Abroad student with no family in the region and no significant previous ties to the community, Oliver! gave me a place to go most afternoons, and people to say hi to in Education City. I hope next semester’s batch of CMU students audition!
Now, to pack for Cairo!
