This is one of those weeks where the universe reminds me how odd my mix of interests are, and how the unique ways they each make me happy.
Today, I put on my opera make-up and performed “My Man’s Gone Now” for an audience of a few hundred as the opening act of Education City’s annual Coffee House.
Tuesday, I will be teaching a few dozen Carnegie Mellon women basic self-defense, which we will then practice on helpless fruit.
Wednesday, I am teaching women in my dorm to make a quick salad, marinara sauce and pasta, and desert crepes.
In between, I have classes, kickboxing, research papers to write, and silly TV shows to watch. I will post pictures as I get them.
And I couldn’t be more satisfied with the mix.

for I’m learning to sail my ship.
