I found a choir, I found a musical, I found a basketball team, I found a job and I love my classes. The choir is the Doha Singers (meeting Monday nights starting the 18th of January), the musical is the Qatar Foundation semesterly musical (this semester is Oliver!), I should be playing on the CMU Women’s Basketball team (to those of you thinking, “hmm, I didn’t know Jessica played basketball” you are correct. But I think 4 years of wrestling should make me an aggressive guard!), and I will be working as a writing tutor for CMU (and yes, I did bring Bird by Bird with me).
I had an arabic class (only two of us), an amazing African political history seminar at Georgetown, and an intimidatingly large basic economics class. I also got my ID and room keys and got super lost in every building I went into. I am learning!
