On Hobbes and Dollhouse

All last season of Dollhouse, something about the contract the dolls signed bothered me, and I wasn’t sure how to phrase it. Having just finished part of Leviathan, I think I know: the contract violated the natural right of humans to defend themselves. It is one of the few rights Hobbes believes humans cannot ever give up. Anyhoo, more tomorrow!

Inspirational Quote:

“(33) A landmark U.S. Court of Appeals decision in 1964 gave public interest groups the right to participate directly in FCC policymaking. For the first time since commercial broadcasting began in the 1920s, a legal and organizational support system began to develop that encouraged less powerful groups, particularly minorities and women, to lobby actively on their own behalf to change media content.
